What does your user onboarding package include?

Our Accelerate package is perfect for self-serve products that offer a freemium or free-trial. Although it's impossible to know what everyone needs, a typical deliverable will often include:

We will write, design and implement these emails for you and with your approval. This is why we also work closely with you to make sure event tracking is in place. 

How can you offer it so cheap?

Because we aren't customizing every single proposal, and we are delivering essentially the same outputs over and over again, of course the content is customized, our team can operate more efficiently. 

For example, we know that every SaaS needs Welcome emails. We know what sorts of messages and themes need to be in each one of those emails. We know about how often they should be sent. 

In short, by applying our framework and repeatable processes, we can lower our costs. 

How long does the user onboarding process take?

We aren't machines, angels or robots. But we strive to complete your entire order within the month. 

It takes us about a week to review your intake data and evaluate your current onboarding. It then takes about two weeks to draft the creative. Finally, after approvals, it's about a week to implement. 

How do you communicate with your clients during the user onboarding process?

We use a project management tool called ClickUp. Once you sign in, you'll have access to a chat feature where your project manager and account manager will be able to communicate with you in real time. 

You'll also have two calls with us, a kick-off call and a creative approval call. 

We will also be available via email. 

What if I already have some user onboarding processes in place - can you help me optimize them?

Yes. We will take a look at what you currently have and keep what is working well. You are free to use or discard any of our creative work if you feel your existing content is better. 

With InnerTrends, you'll be able to see exactly what emails or onboarding steps are working or not working to drive revenue. 

Our Optimize add-on will allow us to take a more proactive role in making sure everything is working well, that growth opportunities are identified and being tested. 

What technology stack do you work with?

As much as possible we try to remain technology agnostic. However, that's not to say we don't have opinions. 

Our go-to product analytics and event tracking tool is InnerTrends. 

We will try to accommodate your email sending platform and in-app guidance platforms as much as possible. 

Do you set up my tracking?

We will give you a very detailed document that your dev team can use to quickly set up your tracking with InnerTrends. We suggest giving developers a heads up now so they aren't surprised when you ask them to install this tool. 

We will help you validate the data to make sure it's 100% accurate. 

Do you use templates?

Unlike some other low-cost onboarding services, we do not simply plug your product details into a template. 

Instead, we work from frameworks and models. Every email we create is unique. 

What is user onboarding and why is it important for my SaaS business?

How does your user onboarding process work?

Step 1: Client intake

You will get a sign-in to ClickUp where you'll have a few tasks waiting for you. There you'll tell us more about your product, your sales model, your brand's voice etc. 

Step 2: Analysis

Your account manager will review all of this intake information and go through your onboarding experience. Based on this data, they will make informed recommendations for improvements.

Step 3: Creating

Your creative team, looking at the design brief, will write and design the emails you need to have a great user onboarding experience. You'll then provide us with feedback so we can get it perfect. 

Step 4: Implementing

After your creative is on-point, our developer will log into your email system, make sure the events are feeding into it, and implement your emails to send at the right times. We'll then test this implementation. Once you're satisfied with the work, just turn it on. 

Step 5: Optimizing

If you chose to add on our Optimizing service, we will monitor your onboarding metrics for health, identify any growth opportunities and manage one a/b test per month.
